Get involved in Utah's energy future!

While energy utilities like Rocky Mountain Power and companies like EnergySolutions may have near bottomless pockets to wage PR battles and buy access to the Legislature, our power comes from you, the people.

Over the next few months, the future of energy generation in our state will likely be decided and we need you to get more involved. If you are interested in either of the following opportunities, please fill out the form below and we will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for all you do!

  • Host an informational meeting in your community. If you know there are people in your community who may be concerned about plans to build a nuclear reactor in Utah, and need more information or want to learn more about how they can get involved, help us organize a meeting in your area to talk about these issues. You can host a meeting at your home, at your local library, or any other public setting. If you can get a group together, we will come give a presentation on "Nuclear power, global warming, and Utah's energy future", which lasts about an hour, leaving time for Q & A. Sign up below and we'll contact you with more info.
  • Join our Media Swat Team. If you read the comments posted by readers on news sites or the letters to the editor pages in the newspaper, you might think that most Utahns support the construction of a nuclear reactor in their state and think those who don't have irrational fears, are stupid, or both. We know this is not the case and we need you to help represent Utahns who have rational concerns about nuclear power's cost, waste, water use, and its potential effects on Utah. Sign up below to receive alerts when pertinent news stories come out and we will email you a link to post a comment or write a letter to the editor. It only takes a minute and it makes a big difference.
