First Key Air Quality Bills Hit State Legislative Committees Today

Activists Pledge Big Clean Air Push; To Watch Leg Closely

The Utah State Legislature’s pledge to do something about polluted air will face its first test today, when two key air quality bills hit Senate committees.

AIR QUALITY BOARD TO DETERMINE WHETHER STATE’S PLAN TO REDUCE INVERSIONS GOES FAR ENOUGH

The Utah Air Quality Board will take a critical vote Wednesday afternoon, when it decides whether to approve a plan to reduce dangerous fine particle pollution, which builds up in our valleys during wintertime inversions.
